In the wonderful
Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Troyes in the Champagne region of France, there is a Blessed Sacrament Chapel set apart - in a welcoming way, with angels at the door - for prayer. The extraordinary interplay of glass, stone and reflected and refracted light is exquisite. It is a place of great peace, and I was especially drawn by the tabernacle. It brings to my mind the Epistle to the Hebrews' description of the Christ as
the reflection of God’s glory and the exact imprint of God’s very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word.
